Common questions

Straight answers, because trust matters more than polish.

Does CardRelay buy the card for me?
No. CardRelay never handles money or holds cards. It tells you who has the card and where they are — the deal happens face to face at the vendor’s table, like it always has.
Does a vendor response reserve the card?
No. A response means "I have it, come see it." Cards stay on the table for anyone until you and the vendor work it out in person, so it’s worth heading over while your interest is fresh.
Can multiple vendors respond?
Yes — that’s the point. Several vendors can respond to the same relay, and you compare condition, grade, price and vendor before choosing. Responses appear in the order they arrive; we never auto-rank vendors by price.
Is my information public?
No. Vendors see your nickname and what you’re looking for — nothing else. There’s no public feed of requests, and nothing about you is sold or shared outside the show.
What if nobody has it?
Your relay stays live while you enjoy the show and expires quietly when the show ends. You lose nothing — and you saved yourself the laps asking table to table.
Can I use it without an account?
Yes. A nickname is all it takes; your session lives for the day of the show. No email, no password, no app install.
